1. Who we are
SparkSave is a financial literacy app for children and young people, provided by Pedro Miguel Lameiras Lima, tax number 219197606, address Rua Campo de Ourique, 105, 1250-060 Lisboa, Portugal ("we" or "SparkSave").

2. Acceptance
By creating an account or using SparkSave, you accept these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
3. Who can use SparkSave
3.1. SparkSave is intended for children and young people, used under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian ("guardian").
3.2. Only people aged 18 or over can create an account. By creating one, the guardian confirms they are over 18 and have legal authority over the child who will use the app.
3.3. The guardian is responsible for supervising the child's use of the app and for managing the settings in the Parents menu, including the age group and Dream Bank tasks.
4. Account and access
4.1. The guardian is responsible for keeping the account password and the Parents menu code confidential.
4.2. The guardian is responsible for all activity carried out through their account.
4.3. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password immediately in Parents → Manage account, and contact us at suporte@sparksave.pt.
4.4. SparkSave can be used without an account. In that case, progress is stored only on the device and is lost if the app is deleted or the device replaced. We cannot recover progress that is not linked to an account.
5. Nature of the content
5.1. SparkSave content is educational and informational only.
5.2. SparkSave does not provide financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and does not recommend buying, selling or subscribing to any financial product.
5.3. Some lessons include information specific to Portuguese law, such as tax rates, contributions, regulatory limits and savings products. This information refers to the date stated in each lesson and may become outdated, as it is set by law and revised periodically. Please confirm current information with official sources before making any financial decision.
5.4. We are not responsible for financial decisions made on the basis of the app's content.
5.5. Lessons are narrated using computer-generated synthetic voices.
6. Dream Bank and coins
6.1. The Dream Bank is an educational feature that lets the guardian set goals and tasks for the child and follow their progress.
6.2. SparkSave does not move, transfer, hold or manage real money. In-app coins are virtual, have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are used only to unlock accessories for Lumi within the app.
6.3. Any reward, pocket money or payment agreed between guardian and child is entirely the guardian's responsibility and takes place outside the app.
7. Permitted use
You agree to:
7.1. Use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
7.2. Not copy, reproduce, distribute or modify the app's content without written permission.
7.3. Not attempt to access restricted areas, bypass security measures, or interfere with the app's operation.
7.4. Not use the app unlawfully or in a way that harms others.
8. Intellectual property
8.1. All SparkSave content — lessons, quizzes, text, illustrations, the Lumi character, the SparkSave brand, design and code — belongs to or is licensed to Pedro Miguel Lameiras Lima, and is protected by copyright and industrial property rights.
8.2. Using the app gives you no rights over this content beyond the right to use it personally as set out here.
9. Availability
9.1. We aim to keep the app available and working correctly, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors.
9.2. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, with reasonable notice where possible.
9.3. Some features, such as account sync and the first playback of narration, require an internet connection.
10. Pricing
10.1. SparkSave is completely free. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases or costs of any kind for the user.
10.2. SparkSave shows no advertising and does not sell user data.
11. Liability
11.1. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or loss of data resulting from use of the app.
11.2. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it, or affects your rights as a consumer under Portuguese and European law.
12. Deleting your account
12.1. The guardian can delete the account at any time in Parents → Manage account → Delete account and all data. Deletion erases the associated data, as described in the Privacy Policy.
12.2. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms, with prior notice unless that is not possible or appropriate.
13. Changes
13.1. We may change these terms. Significant changes will be notified in the app or by email, with reasonable notice.
13.2. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept them.
14. Governing law and disputes
14.1. These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
14.2. In a consumer dispute, you may use the alternative consumer dispute resolution bodies listed at www.consumidor.gov.pt.
